After your application, if your profile meets the initial requirements, you'll go through a selection process that consists of three phases:
Case study and Rself-reflective essay writing
In this round, you will be asked to elaborate on a case study. The topics of this case study will be related to the specialization that you have chosen.
As well, and on a more personal note, you will be given a topic on which to write a self-reflective essay. The topics given during this assignment may vary, but are usually along the lines of explaining a life-changing fact, the greatest challenge you might have faced, or to describe a person (a role-model) that has influenced you and how.
During the personal interview, your communication and interpersonal skills will be tested. Likewise, you'll be asked questions about your personal, professional, and academic experience. To better assess if you are a good fit for this program, there will be questions about the specialisation that you have chosen -both about your choice and about the field in question- and questions about your knowledge of the three countries in the curriculum.
Interview with the Dean
This interview is conducted to ensure and maintain a certain academic standard. In this case, you will be asked questions to check, mostly, your general knowledge, your ambition, and your expectations about the course.
The TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) certification is not required to join the Master of Global Business at SP Jain.
The SPJAT examination can be taken on regular intervals. If you wish to clarify on what dates you could take the exam, do check with the admissions office.
You will find out whether you have been selected a short while after your group discussion and personal interview. It usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks.
During the personal interview, the staff will test your overall IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and EQ (Emotional Quotient).
Likewise, you will be asked to discuss recent global issues and its impact on business, which will help test your understanding of various subjects. Overall, though, the questions asked depend on the panel.
It is advisable to prepare case study basics beforehand, as well as studying business decision making models.
